- How long will it take to refinish my floor?
The time it takes from start to finish depends on many factors such as size and obstacles present in the room, e.g., furniture. Generally speaking, 500 sq ft of empty floor space can be refinished per day. Note that staining requires one day of drying. Also, furniture and other obstacles usually double the time for refinishing.
The time for new floor installation depends on the condition of the existing floor to be removed, the condition of the sub-floor, building requirements, etc.
- How do I prepare my floor for refinishing?
We have been in business for over 25 years, since 1986.
- What is your license number and for how much are you insured?
The more you can remove from the room, the better. Floor refinishes require heavy duty sanding several times. Even “dustless sanders” spread dust that can fly into closed closets and cabinets. Despite best efforts and precautions, there will be an extensive cleanup, of which Click-It-Repair will take care of, naturally.
- Will a Click-It-Repair consultant help choose materials for me?
Absolutely, that’s why we are considered a full-service firm. We offer the convenience of guidance through the entire process, helping you choose the materials, selling them to you (not required), and refinishing or installing your new floor. Knowledge and experience of the entire process is what helps save costs and problems in the long run. We know every aspect of what’s going on, and can help fix unexpected problems without having to consult with someone else. That’s a great reason to go with a full-service firm. All the costs are upfront, no unexpected “add-ons” that often happen with a unscrupulous company.
- Can I buy my products from Click-It-Repair?
Yes, but it is not a requirement. You are more than welcome to buy your materials elsewhere. The advantage of buying products from Click-It-Repair is that you know the materials will work with your project. We can advise you about the buying process if you go elsewhere, but if we don’t personally buy items, we cannot guarantee that they will be compatible with your project. Also, Click-It-Repairs networks with many suppliers to offer you quality products at competitive rates. This translates into time saved and peace of mind, something only you can put a value on.
- How does refinishing my floor affect my return on investment if I sell my home?
